REAL. CASUAL. PHOTOS.

CH3_0166-01.jpeg

Hi and welcome! This is my first blog post that isn’t a highlight reel from something I’ve photographed for hire. Instead, I want to start sharing why I do what I do, and invite you to be a part of my art project.

Lately I’ve found myself obsessing over the analog art of my profession. Film. It’s 2019, why am I even still talking about film?

It’s staggering how convincing and real a film photograph is. A true light-print. A moment recorded with silver. You are forced to really slow down and wait for the right timing to expend some of your precious limited film. All of this together makes the resulting negative so much more valuable. I want to explore the idea of photographing everyday people without the expectations of a paying client, and share the beauty of a format that I feel needs more attention! This is where you come in.

I would love the opportunity to sit down with you over coffee or drinks in Reno, NV.

I’ll bring a beautiful camera, you bring the film. Let’s chat about anything you want - while I take photos of you!

Real. Casual. Photos. No expectations. No modeling. Simply you.
Have a question about photography? I’ll happily share anything with you that you want to know. Afterwards, I’ll develop and process my favorites, and I’ll send you a handmade print. Any unused film will go to a larger art project that I am working on, and will be announced later this year!

Please, send me a message if you would like to be a part of this project.

Thank you for being interested in my art!
