Q + A

Q. Are you the right photographer for us?

A. Perhaps! I would love for us to meet and find out! Aside making sure you are in love with our photos, a connection between us is absolutely vital! Photography should be a top priority with our couples and our meeting should leave you energized and excited about your big day!

Q. What is your photography style?

A. Our shooting style is emotionally driven, moody, and story focused. Our goal is to visually tell a story, and we let ourselves sink into the moments unfolding before us. Our color palettes typically involve a focus on golden light + earthy washes. Although we most often chase existing light, we do incorporate strobes to illuminate special select photographs as well!

Q. What is an Adventure Engagement session, and how should we plan for it?

A. Our Adventure Engagement sessions are something that we are very exited about, since it breaks away from the status quo for engagement photos, and really lets us dive into who you are as a couple! Typically, we suggest that our couples think about a certain place or activity that has a special meaning to who you are. We want to focus on beautiful, raw, and unique aspects of your lives. These ideas might need some exploring and brainstorming, but the end results are unrivaled!

Q. How far will you travel for our wedding?

A. To the edge of the map! We look most forward to destination and adventure weddings! If you are considering a destination wedding, please let us know so we can help with any questions you may have!

Q. How far in advance should we book for our wedding?

A. The sooner, the better. Since we limit the weddings that we do each year and some dates are very popular, we recommend booking about a year in advance for the greatest date flexibility!

Q. Should we have a second photographer for our wedding?

A. Most likely! In fact, we require a second photographer for weddings over 50 guests. Second shooters are vital to capturing some essential moments throughout your big day. We like to consider having two photographers a 1+1=3 situation!

Q. Everything sounds amazing! How do we reserve you for our wedding date?

A. Reserve your date! From there, we typically sit down over coffee and chat about your wedding (or Skype if you aren't local). We are officially booked for your date once you sign a contract + place your retainer (50% day-of services).
